Job description

A leading population health platform helping and empowering people to seek assistance and access care as needed is looking for a Back-End Engineer. As an engineer, you’ll work in the Engineering & Development Department and directly impact the business and clients' success. With a unique blend of technical expertise and insatiable curiosity, the selected candidate will join the team of creators consistently raising the bar on user experiences. Engineers who want to contribute to scaling the digital public health SaaS solution to reduce preventable disease and death are well-suited for this role.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build RESTFul API interfaces using Java Spring Boot
  • Participate in the design and development of mission-critical websites, applications, and layers of the infrastructure
  • Develop performant database queries for data manipulation (PostgreSQL)
  • Work with highly complex tasks in the Healthcare field that will test your abilities
  • Write and implement secure RESTFul interfaces for protecting and exposing customer data
  • Engineer Test Driven Development for the development team to improve the code quality
  • Handle workflows with teams to provide visibility and ensure workload equilibrium for regular visual designs
  • Writing code and tests, building prototypes, solving issues, identifying and evaluating bottlenecks
  • Deliver quality code, setting the standard for the whole team on quality and speed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant professional experience as a Back-End Developer
  • Experience developing with Java Spring Boot is a must
  • Comprehension of implementing RESTFul APIs
  • Ability to adapt to the paradigm and enforce secure coding practices
  • Experience designing performant database schemas
  • Competency working in a Modular Monolith environment
  • Excellent foundation in computer science
  • Comfortable working alongside a team as well as independently
  • Have a growth mindset and grit to challenge the status quo to find new solutions and out-of-the-box ideas
  • Fluency in English
