Job description

A US-based company that is developing a tailored analytics platform to combine huge amounts of heterogeneous oil and gas data is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will work on technical challenges and join a fast-moving, supportive, and ambitious team. The company is developing an oil and gas software platform that combines geoscience and engineering data into a single system for businesses in the energy industry. This role requires at least 4+ hours overlap with the CST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Configure front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
  • Assist product and engineering team professionals, including front-end engineers to build solutions
  • Fine-tune the platform to improve execution speed and resolve scalability bottlenecks
  • Implement the latest security and data protection practices
  • Experiment, design, and build APIs, data storage solutions, and other engineering projects
  • Help with the design, development, and delivery of back-end systems and services utilized across the technology portfolio

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in contributing to enterprise-grade web application projects as a back-end engineer
  • At least 3+ years of experience in working with C#, .NET, and Python
  • Thorough understanding of database technologies like SQL or NoSQL
  • Well-versed with modern development environments
  • Experience in working with CI/CD systems like Azure DevOps
  • Ability to work with containerized technologies like Kubernetes, Docker
  • Understanding of testing frameworks
