Job description

A simplified learning platform that operates as a skills marketplace and enables HR and L&D teams to empower employees to build necessary skills is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will join the team as an entrepreneurial individual who thrives in a startup environment. The company offers an all-in-one marketplace that includes a tuition benefits manager, prepaid learning stipend card, a custom program builder, and dedicated coaching. Job Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop various services and product APIs 
  • Leverage SOLID principles in assembling maintainable and high-quality code
  • Collaborate with the product team to ensure features/changes meet business requirements and fulfill the set strategy
  • Work closely with designers and other engineers to understand new features, dependencies, and technical details
  • Learn, grow professionally, contribute to an amazing team
  • Play a key role in fueling a massive change in learning, talent building, and upskilling

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant back-end engineering experience 
  • Experience in developing software using web frameworks and statically typed languages such as C#, C++, Java, Rust, Go, or Scala
  • Prior C# and ASP.NET Core experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience in architecting RESTful APIs
  • Comfortable with creating highly scalable systems and frameworks
  • Great communication and collaboration skills
  • Be enthusiastic about learning new things and taking on new challenges
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously with minimal direction
  • Prior experience working remotely
