Job description

A fast-growing company that is enabling businesses to automate sales, manage field employees, and streamline deliveries, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the organization, quality, and automation of the code. The company is in its early stage of development while building innovative business automation and integration software services. This will be a full-time position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use the SDKs or APIs offered by the developers of accounting software to make the interchange of data simple and safe
  • Take part in every stage of the software development process, from planning to testing to deployment and maintenance
  • Improve the efficiency of our backend services to give applications the highest possible performance, quality, and responsiveness
  • Identify obstacles and bugs, then come up with remedies.
  • Deliver high-quality solutions by working together with other team members and stakeholders to comprehend the requirements
  • Retain your understanding of industry trends, upcoming technologies, and best practices for software development to date
  • Integrate other accounting software into our FastAPI back-end by working together with the development team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Extensive experience working with C#, Python, and SQL
  • Nice to have some data engineering and machine learning experience
  • Familiarity with DevOps is desirable
  • Experience developing back-end systems and integrating them with accounting software including SAP Business One, Quickbooks, Syspro, and Sage
  • Working understanding of Python and FastAPI experience
  • Strong familiarity with using SDKs and APIs for program integration
  • Extensive knowledge of database technologies
  • In-depth comprehension of the basic design ideas that guide scalable applications
  • Excellent debugging and unit testing abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of code versioning systems like Git
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to collaborate and work alone
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
