Job description

A stealth software startup developing a mobile app that enables users to exchange real-time alerts about specific kinds of location-based incidents, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing clean code that adheres to the highest standards. The company is determined to bring about revolutionary changes to the tech industry with their world-class solutions, This is a great opportunity for developers who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pull, understand, and analyze data insights from various sources and draw scalable design conclusions 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review functional requirements and ideate improved/new features
  • Stay on top of market trends and keep pace with changing technology
  • Conduct regular code reviews while troubleshooting and fixing bugs
  • Build a new team to help review, optimize, expand, and develop tests to bring the product to completion

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a Back-end Engineer
  • 4+ years of experience in Node.js and MongoDB
  • Strong understanding of logging and security concepts
  • Deep knowledge of REST, and core JavaScript concepts
  • Experience and knowledge of relational data and/or non-relational models
  • Previous experience with Google Cloud or other cloud environments
  • Design confidence and the ability to advocate for it
  • Great English communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Nice to have experience with Serverless Frameworks and Google Cloud / Firebase
