Job description

A fast-growing company currently operating in stealth mode while building world-class Fintech solutions is looking for a Back-End Developer. The developer will be in charge of building, deploying, testing, and monitoring core systems to help users have a more seamless experience. The company is developing cutting-edge infrastructure to help scale the decentralized computing paradigm. This is a nice opportunity for developers who are eager to work in a start-up environment with constantly changing requirements. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build a highly distributed and fault-tolerant big-data infrastructure
  • Write design documentation and lead technical discussions
  • Work on large-scale systems and mentor a team of engineers
  • Engage in code reviews, planning, and triaging

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant professional experience as a software engineer
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of a large distributed system
  • Expert problem solver, including developing and implementing novel algorithms for complex technical problems
  • Expertise in multiple modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C, Rust, GO, etc.
  • Expertise in one or more big-data technologies such as Spark, Hive, Kafka, Flink, Beam, Airflow, etc.
  • Experience setting engineering standards, including coding and code review guidelines, building systems, testing frameworks, and CI/CD processes
  • Experience working on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
  • Demonstrable interest in decentralized, peer-to-peer, or blockchain technologies is an added advantage
  • Full-stack expertise in building the back-end and APIs is a bonus
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
