Back-End Developer

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop reusable code libraries for future use and implementation
• Evaluate and assess the company’s requirements, implement best practices and deliver results within the team 
• Improve the company’s engineering processes to increase team effectiveness
• Develop low-latency, responsive, and detailed stacks

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer 
• Extensive experience with TypeScript with NestJS and Jest
• Prolific experience in GraphQL and/or REST-based APIs
• Comfortable with the Unix CLI
• Solid understanding of relational data modeling and SQL and Postgres
• Familiarity with using event-driven/messaging constructs
• Comprehensive knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming
• Working experience in deploying and operating container-based microservices
• Comfortable working with JSON data
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Tokens and OAuth
• Nice to have experience with domain-driven design and reactive systems
• Experience in Prisma and AWS Kinesis and/or Kafka is preferred
• Experience in AWS Redshift and Cloudflare and/or AWS is a plus
• Demonstrable experience in Kubernetes, Bazel, and Kotlin is nice to have
• Fluent in verbal and written English
