Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is helping local food businesses expand beyond their neighborhood to serve their entire region, is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be building and scaling back-end services for the platform. The US-based company is determined to build a unique platform that promotes a sustainable, long-term growth channel for small businesses. Job Responsibilities:

Build back-ends to replace Shopify and Airtable for everything related to order processing and inventory management
Help to architect, generalize and scale the platform to support small businesses willing to create online stores and develop meaningful relationships with customers
Help to integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
Work closely with product and engineering teams including especially Front-end engineers
Optimize the platform to improve execution speed and resolve scalability issues
Implement modern security and data protection practices
Experiment, design and develop APIs, data storage solutions and other engineering projects

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 4+ years of experience working as a back-end developer
Expertise in developing Python-based solutions
Must be well versed with AWS development and related technologies (AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline, AWS Elastic Beanstalk)
Experience in working with Django and PostgreSQL will be helpful
Ability to work with languages like JavaScript or Typescript is preferred
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker is highly desirable
Familiarity with technologies like Snowflake, Amplitude, BrowserStack, and Datadog is beneficial
