Job description

A fast-growing company building an early-stage solution that focuses on the storage, management, and governance of genomics data, is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for optimizing the platform for faster execution and solving scalability issues. The company’s advanced technology combines the insights and innovations of genomics science with the power of IT and aims at expanding into analytics and machine learning to transform how the data is used. Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
Develop highly scalable, responsive, and well-documented stacks
Perform troubleshooting and debugging tasks for software upgrades using a test-oriented approach
Work independently to produce impactful and profitable results

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, and Scala
Solid understanding of distributed systems
Prolific experience building microservices
Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages like Python, shell scripting, etc.
Knowledge of database systems like MongoDB, FoundationDB, and No-SQL databases
Large capacity for paying attention to detail
Ability to meet tight deadlines
