Job description

A fast-growing, well-established company that is developing an innovative platform that provides image and video solutions for media, brands and sports, is looking for a Back-End Developer. The developer will be responsible for developing UIs for customers and back-end services for different business processes. The company has succeeded in maintaining its position as the top global provider of visual content. Job Responsibilities:

  • Using PHP and RESTful APIs, add new website functionality
  • Collaborate closely with young developers and assume responsibility for your work
  • Ensure the code you develop has a purpose and you don't have to deal with environmental problems, collaborate with a product manager and a system administrator
  • Participate in regular code reviews and feedback sessions. You should also review and incorporate feedback into your own code
  • Assist more junior candidates with readability, testing, and documentation while receiving input from regular code reviews with your senior developer
  • Utilize databases such as ElasticSearch and MS SQL
  • Provide clear documentation, test-driven development, and readable code

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Demonstrable experience working with PHP and REST/RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with ElasticSearch, MS SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Some experience with ChatGPT (model 4), GitHub Copilot, and JetBrains IDE (PHPStorm)
  • Prior experience working with Postman for API documentation and testing
  • Solid experience with Docker and Rancher for containerization and deployment
  • In-depth knowledge of Gitlab CI/CD and Jira for ticketing
  • Experience with Confluence for inter-department documentation
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to mentor young developers and provide insightful criticism
  • Great time management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both conversational and written
