Job description

A rapidly-growing company helping youth sports organizations to implement best practices to run their business better, is looking for an Associate Data Engineer. The selected candidate will interact directly with customers to understand their data integration needs and work with them to build effective solutions. The US-based company's latest technology enables organizations to delegate all of their operational chores, allowing them to focus on what they enjoy rather than administrative tasks. They have managed to raise $33mn+ during their Series B round of funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create reports for external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Create customer-specific data integrations and collaborate with customers to meet their needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to pair program and review/test code
  • Troubleshoot and offer solutions to product problems
  • Share awesome animated GIFs in the Slack channels
  • Use agile practices in a team environment
  • Create high-performance data streams and APIs to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Continue to be exposed to new technologies in order to learn and grow your skills
  • Attend and participate in different weekly meetings 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Must have expertise in Java and Python
  • Experience in Object Oriented Programming is required
  • Required experience with ETL jobs and SQL, including stored procedures
  • Experience in Big Data, Containerization, microservices, Spring, and cloud-based technologies like AWS is a must
  • A strong belief in automated testing and experience with version control is required
  • Experience with agile SDLC is must
  • Be ambitious, passionate, and have the drive to learn and bring new technologies to solve problems and create new products
