Job description
Job responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and test both front-end and back-end components of the applications
- Develop and implement high availability and low-latency application with improved data protection and security features
- Contribute to design discussions including data querying and pre-processing, UI components, and asynchronous communication
- Focus on exceeding user expectations by enhancing system usability and performance
- Review and refactor proposed code and provide feedback for continuous improvement
- Follow the latest developments and best practices in Python and React development
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior developers
- Collaborate with various project stakeholders such as project managers, end-users, testers, QA specialists, designers, and developers to deliver exceptional performance
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of full-stack application development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Expert proficiency with Python and React.js
- Expertise in JavaScript, VueJS, Django, and Flask
- Knowledge of back-end concepts like databases, REST APIs, and server-side logic
- Deep understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, SASS and LESS, DOM, etc.
- Familiarity with test-driven development, using testing libraries like Jest, PyTest and Nose
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL database technologies
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Experience with cloud environments (Microsoft Azure or AWS)
- Understanding of Microservices and Messaging Brokers (RabbitMQ)
- Knowledge of code version control systems like Git
- Familiarity with reverse proxy engines such as Nginx, Apache HTTPD, etc.
- Understanding of Agile and SCRUM methodologies
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
