Job description
Job Responsibilities
- Take charge of the organization's data science vision and strategy
- Create innovative tools, cutting-edge analytical methods, and products.
- As part of co-innovation projects, collaborate with important clients and stakeholders to assist in the creation of proprietary analytical products and bespoke scores
- Make sure that all analytical output is subject to quality monitoring by beginning and experienced data scientists
- Successfully convey the "so what" of the analysis to key stakeholders by utilizing powerful data visualizations, excellent presentation techniques, and business language
- Help junior and intermediate data scientists enhance their careers and their skill sets in data science
- Using cutting-edge approaches and procedures, as well as developing new ones when necessary, support the redesign of the data science model development lifecycle
- Take care of project management, including establishing the technical and business requirements, scheduling resources, and designing analytical solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist
- 3+ years of experience working in a large data environment with Python, SQL, and R
- 3+ years of experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks (including LSTMs, and RNNs)
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the development and application of analytical solutions to real-world problems
- 2+ years of modeling experience with the top tools, such as Transformers, Tensorflow, XGBoost, Scikit Learn, and PyTorch
- 2+ years of experience developing and leading the technical vision of an organization and working independently and closely with senior leadership to lead data science to continued success into the future
- Knowledge of, innate skill for, and excitement for experimenting with new technology and swiftly determining their value within organizations
- Nice to have some working knowledge of financial services, telecommunications, or utilities
- Prior experience working with browser-level data to extract insights is desirable
- Nice to have some experience working with credit or fraud data
- Experience in leadership and mentorship along with development and deployment of models in a cloud-based environment such as GCP and Firestore is desirable
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
