Job description
Job responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional development teams and project managers to determine client requirements for software development projects
- Develop intuitive software solution that meets and exceeds the needs of the clients
- Maintain software products/systems and create updates regularly to address client/company concerns
- Analyze and test programs and products before the final launch/delivery
- Troubleshooting coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
- Ensure software security by developing programs and monitoring information sharing activities
- Investigate and identify advanced opportunities to improve business software processes and interactions
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in remote software development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Proficient with multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries, including React, Node, Python, JavaScript, React Native, PHP, Python, Java, among others
- Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and standards
- Fluent with software design and architecture for large-scale distributed systems
- Well-versed with data structures and algorithms
- Functional knowledge and design experience with Web Services (REST) along with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
- Efficiency in using code versioning tools like Git and project management tools like Jira
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environment
- Familiar with CI/CD/CT pipelines
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Comfortable working with distributed environments
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
