Job description

Job responsibilities

Participate in the development and maintenance of back-end components of an application
Contribute to the entire lifecycle of the development project, including the design and development of user interfaces, applications, and testing
Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to develop customer-facing UIs and efficient back-end services
Assist the testing team in the unit and functional testing of the code to ensure high-quality
Communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences effectively
Adhere to security protocols and data protection measures

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Node engineer
Proficient in with Node.js, JavaScipt, and other relevant libraries and frameworks
Expertise in utilizing Node.js and React.js, Express, and Knex with a SQL database
Must have knowledge of developing unit tests using Jest or Mocha and Chai, using build
Familiarity with APIs based on AWS or GCP
Experience using a code repository, like Git, BitBucket, etc.
Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zone

Preferred skills

Experience in using tools, e.g. JIRA or Version One
Expertise in developing software using CI/CD practices
Knowledge of any of the following technologies- NGINX or Redis is desired
Proficient with Agile software development methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude skills
