Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and maintenance of back-end components of an application
  • Contribute to the entire lifecycle of the development project, including the design and development of user interfaces, applications, and testing
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to develop customer-facing UIs and efficient back-end services
  • Assist the testing team in the unit and functional testing of the code to ensure high-quality

  • Communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences effectively
  • Adhere to security protocols and data protection measures

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Node engineer
  • Proficient in with Node.js, JavaScipt, and other relevant libraries and frameworks
  • Expertise in utilizing Node.js and React.js, Express, and Knex with a SQL database
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Node engineer
  • Proficient in with Node.js, JavaScipt, and other relevant libraries and frameworks
  • Expertise in utilizing Node.js and React.js, Express, and Knex with a SQL database
  • Must have knowledge of developing unit tests using Jest or Mocha and Chai, using build
  • Familiarity with APIs based on AWS or GCP
  • Experience using a code repository, like Git, BitBucket, etc.
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zone

Preferred skills

  • Experience in using tools, e.g. JIRA or Version One
  • Expertise in developing software using CI/CD practices
  • Knowledge of any of the following technologies- NGINX or Redis is desired
  • Proficient with Agile software development methodologies
