Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Work with other developers (and non-developers) to validate new ideas
  • Design and develop new services and products
  • Enhance and extend the SaaS architecture, through development and sprint cycles
  • Build applications using back-end languages and frameworks like Python, Django, and Flask
  • Deploy and scale applications using Cloud Native methodologies and tools like Containers, Kubernetes, Microservices, and Serverless Functions
  • Develop with front-end development languages and tools such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular/React, and Bootstrap
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency and maintain technical documentation
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve the software and ideate software solutions

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience in large-scale software development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Excellent programming skills in Python, along with debugging, performance analysis, and test design skills
  • Experience in designing scalable databases or datastores using MSSQL or equivalent SQL technology
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environments and DevOps methodologies
  • Extensive experience working with ReactJS and/or NextJS, Docker, Git, NPM, etc.
  • Solid understanding of microservice architecture and implementation
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with Cloudflare, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or similar
  • Prior experience in delivering software in a cloud context
  • Familiar with managing cloud infrastructure
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an Agile/SCRUM environment
