Job description

A US-based company that is fast becoming the leading all-in-one platform for photographers and creatives to run their entire business and online client experience, is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer (back-end-heavy). The engineer will build software and put systems in place to solve the many problems creative small businesses face in their workflow. The company actively serves professional photographers worldwide and streamlines the work process, allowing them to serve clients better than ever while still finding time to do what they love the most. The selected candidate will work as a self-starter and take on new challenges as they arise.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement web applications and services optimized for performance
  • Recommend standards, best practices, architectures, and technologies to stay on the leading edge of software development
  • Build scalable and high-performance software components
  • Execute and work cross-functionally to support the product roadmap

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or back-end engineer
  • Be a highly skilled communicator in English; both written and spoken 
  • Be a critical thinker; able to ask the right questions and share ideas
  • Highly productive despite distractions and rolling collaboration with other team members
  • Passionate about emerging technology
  • Capable of delivering on tasks and meeting goals without micromanagement
  • Loyal to customers and team and be willing to admit to faults
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and easy-going to get along within a remote environment
  • Ability to adapt and wear multiple hats to get the job done
  • Proficient with JavaScript using NodeJS and ExpressJS
  • Strong expertise in HTTP API development and MongoDB 
  • Good exposure to Golang and Kubernetes
