Job description

A US-based company providing themed boxes of unique products that are distributed monthly is looking for a Web Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for tackling complex tasks through problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. The company enables members to unbox something new every month in a club hundreds of thousands strong. The company has managed to raise more than $45mn during their Series B round of funding.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help to take new features from planning stages to production-ready using tested codes
  • Ensure scalability features in every developmental task
  • Work on expanding the existing platform experience by taking advantage of modern trends
  • Develop intuitive web features to make websites more responsive and engaging
  • Collaborate with product team for defining new features, reviewing code, discussing how we can make improvements to our site and processes

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience in web development
  • Proven experience of working with Ruby
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript beyond jQuery (AngularJS, React, or a similar framework).
  • Ability to use ORM with a deep understanding of SQL
  • Ability to judge and perform quick solutions
  • Ability to write efficient and clean codes that meet current standards
  • Fluency in English for efficient verbal and written communication
