Job description

An early-stage startup that focuses on developing solutions channeled to data-driven businesses is looking for a Web Back-End Engineer. As an engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing systems and software that accelerate the productivity of the entire organization. The company has put together a competent engineering team passionate about data, its possibilities, and infrastructures. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring a time overlap with the PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design
  • Deploy Docker containers in AWS, GCP, and on-prem Kubernetes clusters
  • Use Gitlab CI/CD to test and deploy
  • Work independently to figure out solutions to complex challenges

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant web back-end engineering experience 
  • Fundamental understanding of Linux systems and command-line tools
  • Experience working with AWS and GCP
  • Proficiency with Golang, Bash, Terraform, CI/CD, and TCP/IP
  • Experience writing code to automate health checks and healing of these systems
