Job description

A fast-paced company that aims to address the widespread issue of name mispronunciation and gender pronoun communication in as many essential contexts as possible is looking for a Web Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for recognizing and assisting in the resolution of Web application problems. The company offers a simple and efficient solution in the form of audio name pronunciations integrated online to help people learn and remember how to speak their names. The company has managed to raise $3 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand and assist in the resolution of difficulties with Web applications and consumer inquiries
  • Be comfortable performing adhoc SQL queries in a Postgres environment
  • Have a broad understanding of how web apps function, especially dealing with web APIs
  • Understand how to interact with web app logs in aggregators like Sumo
  • Consider inbound cases and give product and process ideas to reduce the number of cases 
  • Enhance case resolution efficiency

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and AWS
  • Familiarity with Rancher is a plus
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails is nice to have
  • Proficiency in English
