Job description

A US-based company that provides Conversational AI and Natural Language Understanding API for businesses is looking for a Web Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will help define and enforce the software architecture and design guidelines, platforms, and development standards. The company has developed a platform that includes features like cognitive search, review analysis, sentiment insights, text classification, and keyword extraction, allowing medium and large businesses to maximize customer engagement and increase business value from unstructured data. This job presents a full-time opportunity for candidates to work in a fast-growing organization and grow rapidly. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, engineers, and the customer service team to deliver user-facing features 
  • Create, test, document, and support web applications and interactions with back-end services
  • Take part in wireframing, design, code reviews, and troubleshooting
  • Assist in the definition and enforcement of architectural guidelines, platforms, and development standards
  • Investigate emerging back-end technologies and make recommendations to improve existing products

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of Python and PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of Docker, Scrum, and Kubernetes is nice to have
  • Familiarity with GitHub and Agile is a plus
  • Knowledge of Git and Django is preferred
  • Proficiency in English
