Job description

A rapidly-growing company providing an all-in-one digital protection service for small and medium-sized businesses is looking for a Web Back-End Developer. The developer will be building Windows desktop applications that connect to the company’s back-end via REST APIs. The company's advanced technology enables businesses to put digital protection on auto-pilot and get back to running their business. This will be a full-time, long-term role that requires some overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop performant, reliable, high-quality Windows desktop applications that are easily scalable
  • Take responsibility for entire projects, including tasks like delivering technical designs, implementing unit testing, deploying and maintaining systems
  • A knack for building production-grade features, improving reliability, identifying gaps, working independently, and leading the Windows team
  • Write robust, extensible, and clean code
  • Collaborate with designers, QA, and engineers to deliver high-quality products
  • Fine-tune developed platforms to improve efficiency and resolve scalability issues
  • Implement security and modern data protection practices
  • Experiment, design & build APIs, data storage solutions, and other engineering projects
  • Solve complex problems with the simplest technical solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end specialist
  • Proven experience of working with .NET and C#
  • Knowledge of REST API design methodologies, session management, etc.
  • Experience in working with automated testing platforms and versioning tools like Git
  • Well-versed in database administration, scripting, data migration, backup, and authorization
  • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, time & space complexity, distributed systems, etc.
  • An urge to keep learning new technologies and developing skills
