Job description

A US-based company providing a meeting and event platform to make meetings markets more transparent and simple is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will work closely with a highly collaborative team to solve customer obstacles. The company is on a mission to increase the efficiency of group travel organizers by connecting them with hoteliers and delivering a great experience for all. They have managed to raise more than $50mn in funding so far. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Solve complex challenges while delivering best-in-class and well-crafted code
  • Deliver code for a tech stack that is comprised of ReactJS, Ruby/Rails, and PostgreSQL
  • Work on various parts for both the front-end and back-end development
  • Work quickly with the code being checked-in frequently to integrate with the platform’s deployment-safe, test-driven, CI/CD pipeline
  • Build unit tests to help ensure solid workmanship
  • Actively participate with the Product Development Team to help plan the implementation strategies
  • Troubleshoot issues and work support tickets

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a software engineer
  • 2+ years of development experience focused on Rails, ReactJS, Ruby, or equivalent modern dynamic OO language
  • Prolific experience working with Ruby on Rails with a focus on OAUTH, SSP, and SAML
  • Familiarity with the concepts of Agile/Scrum processes
  • Demonstrable experience with RESTful APIs, ReactJS, Ruby/Rails, Redux, React Hooks, Redis, Async/Batch processing, SOA, and Elasticsearch
  • Fluent in consuming RESTful APIs.  
  • Familiarity with the concepts involved with Design Patterns
  • Excellent verbal, written, and group communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven and execution-oriented personality, ready to take ownership and get results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
