Senior Fullstack Engineer

A venture-backed health-tech start-up promoting medicine through health data analysis and cutting edge treatments is looking for a Senior Full-stack Engineer. As an engineer, you will contribute to the front-end and back-end systems that serve multiple patients and enhance medical research. The candidate will work with a passionate team of engineers and collaborate with patients, caregivers, and scientists to drive engaging experiences and deliver quality insights from world-class technologies. The role is well-suited for those who would like to innovate, take ownership and impact the lives of several patients and families while developing products in the multi-billion dollar market.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build architectures that power user notifications and event-based reminders
• Build scalable, well-tested REST-based services in Django Rest Framework (DRF)
• Develop background services that reliably and efficiently respond to user actions
• Provide thoughtful and extensile database models and schemas for new features and systems
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to extend and improve the platform architecture in the front-end, back-end, and different layers
• Collaborate with designers and deliver wonderful client experiences
• Expand your skills and apply them to difficult and fun issues that contribute to the platform development 
• Work in a fast-paced environment with engineers to tackle complicated issues, share information, and supply support 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software engineering
• 5+ years of relevant back-end experience in relational databases, designing schema, data queries, etc.
• Nice to have some experience in PostgreSQL
• 2+ years of experience implementing Django services
• At least 3+ years of experience integrating REST services 
• Sound expertise in Object-Oriented Design, patterns, RESTful APIs, Agile software principles, and responsive web design
• Track record of UI development with React, React Hooks, and ECMAScript
• Familiarity with teams that build and operate distributed systems in a cloud environment
• Solid knowledge of testing techniques such as TDD, Cypress, Pytest, RTL, mocha, jest, chai, etc.
• Understanding of Cloud services (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
• Proficiency with continuous integration and deployment
• Exposure to NoSQL technologies and other scalable search platforms
• Machine Learning and data analytics knowledge
