Job description

An emerging company helping users to shop for their next home in a smarter way and access exclusive offers is looking for a Senior Full-Stack (Back-End-Heavy) Engineer. As an engineer, you will join the team as a founding member and help craft the roadmap, develop features, fix bugs, and ship first-class products. The platform enables users to draw insights from trusted data & local experts, enabling them to see the home's potential with data. This is a full-time position that requires an overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop products that help customers shop for their first or next homes with more options
  • Work as a self-driven, passionate generalist engineer with the ability to thrive in an early-stage environment
  • Help drive the development forward with reliability, agency, and ownership
  • Contribute to the API build, databases, connecting vendors, and building marketplaces
  • Work closely with the CTO/Tech Lead and report to the CEO on the product
  • Maintain high performance and compatibility across platforms
  • Learn new technologies and take on new projects
  • Work in a product-driven role with concern for the customer experience, and advanced problem solving

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of Python and React
  • Familiarity with API, API research, and databases
  • Passion for shipping first-class product
  • Experience with agile iterative development
  • Previous experience working in a remote environment
  • Background/interest in real estate is desirable
  • Expertise in engineering documentation with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication skills in English
