Job description

A fast-growing company that provides quick delivery services of groceries, essentials, and other household items, is looking for a Senior Flutter Engineer. By engaging with a close-knit product engineering team, the selected candidate will play a crucial part in delivering excellent products. The company provides free, 24 hours delivery services of over 20,000 products within 15 minutes and is backed by high-profile investors like Y-Combinator. They have managed to raise $4.5mn in funding during their Seed round. This will be a full-time position that can lead to rapid career growth. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write high-quality, performance, and maintainable code
  • Own the whole development process from start to finish, including design, implementation, automated testing, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Take ownership of the code and make improvements to the existing codebase
  • Produce a fantastic product and delight customers, work together with engineers, designers, and product managers
  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure that the team produces safe, high-quality software

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Solid understanding of Flutter and Dart, its application lifecycle, UI rendering, and animations
  • Prior remote work experience, as well as the ability to operate independently and with self-discipline
  • Experience developing complicated Flutter apps that are cross-platform compatible and published on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store
  • Knowledge of State Management Patterns like Bloc 
  • Prolific experience working with version control systems like Git 
  • Experience working with native Android/iOS technologies and libraries, such as location services, maps, and other common libraries
  • Working knowledge of production monitoring, tracking, and A/B testing technologies such as Firebase
  • Storage, threading, and performance tweaking expertise
  • Nice to have some experience automating things through the use of pipelines (Gitlab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of system design and familiarity with cloud infrastructures like AWS and GCP is desirable
  • Experience with production monitoring and logging tools like Datadog is nice to have
  • Experience in dealing with and quickly mitigating production issues, running post-mortem, and discovering the root cause is desirable
