Job description

A well-established company that has been transforming the Asian pharmaceutical industry with their world-class solutions and services, is looking for a Senior Data Scientist. The selected candidate will join the Digital and Data Analytics team and will be tasked with controlling the distribution of analytical solutions to internal and external clients. With a comprehensive range of distribution, digital, and commercial services, the organization is committed to providing patients with dependable and accessible healthcare solutions to meet the region's changing healthcare demands. This position requires at least 8 hours of overlap with the SGT time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn how to use a variety of data sources, analyze them, and know when, how, and which ones to use and which ones to avoid at any given time
  • Use a combination of tools, data analysis techniques, and data science methodology to manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from diverse sources in order to spot trends and draw insightful conclusions
  • Create data modeling procedures to produce unique analyses, prediction models, and algorithms
  • Take charge of the creation, deployment, production, and management of machine learning pipeline life cycles
  • To establish and implement the crucial insights necessary to make wise business decisions, and collaborate with customers
  • Be a technical lead with hands-on experience who can own, drive, and create insights from conception to release
  • Offer analytical solutions with a strict focus on business results, including a variety of reporting, descriptive, and predictive analytics approaches
  • Work with stakeholders and customers to comprehend their operational and business concerns before creating models for successful business outcomes and putting them into practice
  • Utilize machine learning and advanced analytics to aid in the creation, growth, and scalability of new analytics solutions
  • Foster insights innovation while coordinating with both tactical and strategic corporate insights initiatives
  • Develop the skills and capability of the organization's data science team by empowering and mentoring current personnel
  • Make sure insights are both actionable and measurable, and showcase an ability to develop these insights and hypotheses with an understanding of their application in real life and their commercial ramifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5-7+ years of relevant experience working with analytical tools or as a data scientist
  • Prior experience working within the AI, ML, and Data Science industries
  • Demonstrable experience applying data science methodologies to support business outcomes
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data mining
  • Prolific experience with general ML methods and expert in Deep Learning, Recommendation Systems, Supervised learning and feature engineering, Personalization, Time series and forecasting analysis, and Clustering
  • Demonstrable experience working with data science languages like Python, R, Scala, and SAS ML
  • Working knowledge of machine learning packages like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc.
  • Nice to have some experience with Spark, H2O, or other Hadoop-based frameworks 
  • Some familiarity with Cloud base AI/ML tools and data analytic tools in Azure or AWS or GCP is desirable
  • Ability to develop stable production API is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of the development, production, deployment, and operation of machine learning pipelines
  • Substantial experience in using huge, distributed data sources to produce useful insight
  • Deep understanding of a large data programming language 
  • Proven expertise in Tableau, PowerApps, Kusto, R, and/or Python
  • Interpersonal skills and the capacity to use data to communicate a story
  • Excellent program management and teamwork abilities
  • Vast logical and methodical abilities 
  • Knowledge of using Agile and participating in a Scrum team, as well as real-world experience
  • Be logical, orderly, cooperative, and quick to learn
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
