Job description

A US-based start-up operating a Bitcoin-first financial institution is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Python, Django). The engineer will be responsible for building out the backend systems while leveraging the existing infrastructure. The platform enables people to save in Bitcoin, spend in dollars, and coexist between the two currencies. They are backed by some of the top investors and executives in Silicon Valley. The job presents a rare chance to collaborate with industry experts in the Crypto space while developing the future of financial services for a world that runs on Bitcoin.

Job Responsibilities:

Work in small, agile teams in a collaborative manner
Design and implement reliable, scalable, low-latency, and highly performant applications
Write automated tests for making sure the code is robust and fault-tolerant
Mentor other engineers and drive good engineering practices within teams

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
Skilled at Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Docker, etc.
Nice to have prior experience in full-stack development
Must be an excellent communicator and team player
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to take ownership of issues
