Job description

A high-growth company working actively to seamlessly connect the automotive ecosystem is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will take end-to-end ownership of components and responsibility for subsystems from the design, code, testing, integration, deployment, enhancements, etc. The company uses cutting-edge technologies such as big data, Machine Learning/AI, human-computer interaction, and invents new technology to overcome obstacles and solve significant problems. The company has raised close to $450 mn in funding. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring at least 8 hours overlap with IST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create solutions for complex business procedures by designing and building them
  • Understanding the user persona and providing a smooth experiences
  • Write high-quality code and be accountable for your work
  • Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks
  • Mentor Junior engineers and work with management, product, QA, and UI/UX teams to communicate and collaborate
  • In a fast-paced start-up atmosphere, deliver with quality and on time

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Excellent Java and object-oriented development skills
  • Experience in building and scaling microservices
  • Strong sense of code quality and enforcement code quality within the team
  • Experience in Java, Mongo, MySQL, AWS technologies, ELK stack, Spring boot, and Kafka
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL technologies
  • Experience in developing back-ends for enterprise systems like e-commerce/manufacturing/supply chain etc.
  • Excellent understanding of debugging performance and optimization techniques
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting, and diagnosing
  • Fluency in English
