Job description

A rapidly-growing company transforming how individuals connect, communicate, and express themselves digitally is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for configuring, adjusting, and optimizing Python applications using the most recent architecture. The company continues to improve some of the world's most successful and frequently used dating and entertainment websites. The company has managed to raise close to $555 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create back-end code for a highly concurrent web application utilizing Python and other relevant technologies
  • Become a fully integrated member of a cross-functional agile team
  • Use the most recent architecture to configure, adjust, and optimize Python programs
  • Work with QA technicians to fix issues prior to going live
  • Document all work and communication concerns as they emerge
  • Assist in debugging production difficulties

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 3+ years of Python development and SQL experience
  • 3 years of experience working with Object Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Architecture
  • Knowledge of Redis, RabbitMQ (or similar caching/message bus technologies)
  • Experience with Celery, Flask, Django, and other parts of the Python ecosystem
  • Familiarity with secure coding guidelines
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript is a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team 
  • Excellent verbal and writing English communication skills
  • Must be comfortable working with adult content
  • Possess a high level of honesty and integrity
  • Team player, optimistic attitude, and flexible
  • Deadline-oriented and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced setting
