Job description

A US-based company that enables businesses to create visual brand experiences is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be working with the existing team to support their technical expansion needs to support their growing customer base. Job Responsibilities:

  •  Write simple code and ship new products and features to customers or improve existing ones
  • Engage in knowledge sharing with the rest of the team and build shared tooling for other engineers
  • Directly help customers when the need arises
  • Research, guide, and execute system architecture changes, including but by no means limited to, server-side React rendering, and back-end optimization
  • Development and upkeep of a dashboard and editor-based application
  • Develop server-side logic as part of the back-end effort.
  • Using tools like Chrome dev tools, measure, detect, and eliminate performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate directly with our product, design, and UX teams to develop great and intuitive experiences that make connecting multiple apps simple.
  • Manage and oversee our development team and engineering process in collaboration with other senior members.
  • Assist with the implementation of tools, processes, and documentation to increase the quality of our code.
  • Analysis of requirements, structure design, program implementation, and system integration/testing are all tasks that must be completed
  • Weekly releases to a big user base while maintaining a high level of autonomy in terms of code and feature ownership
  • Share what you know and learn either one-on-one or with lightning talks to the group
  • Act as a subject matter expert for given applications, systems, and technologies, and execute expert programming, configuring, and/or analysis with minimum supervision
  • Manage the efficient allocation of team resources to ongoing projects, enhancements, and/or initiatives
  • Participate in the development and design process
  • Provide technical direction to team members and lead investigation and resolution efforts for critical/high impact problems, defects, and incidents

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • 5+ years of real-life back-end experience working with high load systems
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working on large complex applications
  • Solid understanding of Kotlin, Golang, MySQL, and MongoDB
  • Prolific experience with JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js
  • Familiarity with AWS DevOps using EWC, RDS, S3, and other cloud solutions
  • Working knowledge of CSS/HTML and SSH
  • Nice to have some understanding of Java 
  • Prior experience with LAMP stack and ​API integrations
  • At least intermediate of security best practices at the server level
