Job description

A U.S.-based company that is creating a platform where the food sector can go to purchase and sell more intelligently, is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer. The developer will be in charge of creating, developing, documenting, and using RESTful APIs. The company is creating a comprehensive, user-friendly web platform to increase revenue and profit for distributors, manufacturers, and restaurateurs. This is an amazing opportunity for candidates who are eager to learn from industry veterans and apply their knowledge practically.

Job Responsibilities:

Good communication abilities to resolve problems and provide progress updates to non-technical managers as well as members of the technical team
Work quickly and effectively while meeting deadlines
To construct back-end components, write code that is clear, scalable, and testable
Include front-end components in the program
Control the flow of data between the users and the server
Test apps and debug programs
Create effective back-end elements

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
5+ years of experience working with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and SQLalchemy
Competence with high-throughput system scalability and performance tuning
Have a resolute dedication to following engineering best practices, automated testing, and excellent code quality
Practical knowledge of Docker and AWS EC2
Extensive experience building low-latency, high-throughput HTTP services
Experience contributing to Python interpreters or frameworks like FastAPI
Outstanding problem-solving abilities, including the ability to interpret unclear problem statements and formulate pertinent follow-up inquiries
Proficiency in troubleshooting and fixing complicated problems
Ability to write successful unit tests
Demonstrable experience completing tasks assigned in agile sprints promptly and with an emphasis on quality
In-depth knowledge of version control systems, ideally with Git in particular
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
