Job description

A US-based non-profit company focused on increasing diversity by transforming technical higher education, is looking to hire a Full-stack Engineer. The candidate will work on the full-stack web application development using Django and focus mainly on the backend. The company develops and delivers a wide variety of programs and is supported directly by the technology industry including Microsoft, Facebook, Walmart.org, and many more. This is a nice opportunity to join an early-stage company and contribute efforts to offering an accelerated pathway into the technology industry.

Job Responsibilities:

Handle the design, architecture, development, code review, and testing of key applications
Identify performance bottlenecks and come up with solutions to implement
Develop and maintain various internal tools and work processes
Design and implement scalable web service APIs and solutions

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
3-5 years of experience with Django
Must be experienced with Python, Django (Forms, Admin, and REST framework)
Must be proficient with PostgreSQL, jQuery, Javascript, Git, and Github
Proficiency with Django/Python view templating
Prior experience with Bootstrap and Bootstrap JS, Redis, Memcached, and Celery is nice to have
Familiarity with software development best practices
