Job description

A healthy meal delivery service offering fresh, seasonal ingredients and easy recipes to customers is looking for a Full-stack Engineer. The developer will work primarily on the backend while owning tasks on the frontend web platform. The company has grown rapidly to generate $200+ mn in revenue over the years and is ranked as a top online healthy eating platform. The selected candidate will join the fast-growing team backed by top-tier investors and build solutions for complex business and operational challenges. The role requires at least 5-6 hours of overlap with EST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Product Managers to spec, implement, test, document, and maintain software components in the core platform
  • Build a perfect balance between high-quality code and shipping a product
  • Contribute efforts in helping the team pay off technical debts
  • Apply skills and expertise toward building automation to streamline various aspects of the production operations

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer
  • A high degree of competence with both backend and frontend technologies, including Java 8+, Spring Boot, JPA, SQL, REST APIs, JavaScript, CSS
  • Hands-on experience with AWS
  • Prior experience working with a fully remote, geo-distributed team with an eagerness for code reviews
  • Solid contributor, self-motivated, and a proven team player
  • Proven passion for everything you build to be clear and maintainable in design and implementation
  • Hands-on experience with PHP (WordPress), React.js (web), and React Native (mobile) is desired
