Job description

A rapidly-growing company building a cutting-edge digital manufacturing automation platform to assist enterprises in automating their production lines is looking for a Full-Stack Ruby on Rails Developer. The developer will be a crucial part of the e-commerce team and will be helping to plan and develop new features for the e-commerce platform from conception to release. The company is on a mission to change the face of industrial automation by establishing a comprehensive cloud platform for designing, automating, ordering, and deploying automated equipment. The company has raised more than $100 mn+ during their Series C round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Architect integrations with internal systems, develop automated tests, and analyze product requirements 
  • Assist in planning and developing new features for the e-commerce platform from conception to release
  • Improve the speed and overall quality of the website by writing solid, scalable code
  • Architect, build and dispose of internal and public-facing features using Ruby on Rails (including Hotwire) and React
  • Write unit tests, integration tests, and system tests using frameworks such as Minitest and Capybara
  • Conduct code reviews and make architectural decisions with the team
  • Collaborate with the product team to discuss progress, tackle setbacks, share updates, and present features constructively 
  • Partner with the in-house designer to craft responsive user interfaces

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Must have a minimum of 1+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Knowledge of at least one major programming language (preferably JavaScript or Ruby) 
  • Prior experience with web development frameworks such as React and Ruby on Rails 
  • Nice to have experience with Hotwire or StimulusReflex 
  • Demonstrable experience working with RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency in relational databases
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
