Job description

A fast-growing company moving into an enterprise environment with its revolutionary lead generation software and technology is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The selected candidate will be rebuilding the company’s system architecture to accommodate and scale growth to support their large customer base. The US-based company empowers businesses to create and generate their own better-qualified leads in the mortgage, real estate, or insurance sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work long-term with industry veterans and quickly climb up the corporate ladder.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in translating high-level business objectives functional and non-functional requirements into software design and code of high quality, consistent, coherent, scalable, and secure
  • Avoid technical debt by utilizing the best expressions of design specifications 
  • Develop, document, and implement software across product lines utilizing agile and continuous delivery methodologies
  • Collaborate with product managers in development analysis, collaborative feature design, and delivery of new products and features
  • Script high-efficiency codes and adopt an agile development approach to meet deadlines
  • Design and develop features for new and existing services
  • Find newer ways for reducing code complexity and leverage libraries and services
  • Communicate, document, and train team members about delivered features and functionalities
  • Undertake other duties as and when required

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines with a software engineering focus
  • 2+ years experience in software engineering with experience in design, development, and testing
  • Expertise in strongly typed object-oriented programming languages like Go, PHP or Laravel 7/8, PHP, etc
  • Understanding of web development languages like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript along with frameworks like jQuery and React.js
  • Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including a strong foundation of design principles, patterns, models, and data structures
  • Prior experience of working with GIT for version control and workflow
  • Deep understanding of unit and automation testing
  • Familiarity with PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat, Centos7, or related Linux distribution
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including agile methodologies
  • Must work with a creative mindset and be an efficient problem solver
  • Should possess a thorough understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and standards
  • Must be willing to learn and master new technologies
  • Dedicated to completing tasks on schedule while ensuring quality, and attention to detail 
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English 
  • Must be willing to collaborate to define requirements, and rework solutions based on feedback received over the course of multiple iterations
  • Proficiency in LAMP development stack is preferred
  • Ability to work on SQL-based databases, including schema design, profiling, and query optimization, will be helpful
  • Knowledge of working on continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines will be a bonus
  • Experience in working with containers, virtualization, and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes will be helpful
  • Familiarity with message queuing technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ will be an advantage
