Job description

A high-growth tech company influencing the intelligence market and modernizing how businesses use video footage to improve operations and perform other functions, is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will build and own the software stack in the cloud, including API, back-end, and front-end platforms. The company offers an easy-to-use, YouTube-like dashboard, enabling customers to instantly access their cameras across locations with powerful features to manipulate their video footage in real-time. The selected candidate will join the company backed by leading venture capital investors in Silicon Valley and contribute to developing edge-native technology.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a startup environment with a significant impact on the product
  • Ship fast and iterate with short sprints and daily code commits
  • Learn about customer problems and solve them directly with your work
  • Build and own features end-to-end
  • Offer feedback and implement mock-ups that will turn into customer-shippable code
  • Collaborate with the UX design and firmware teams and define telemetry requirements
  • Work with Customer Success and Support teams to solve key customer pain points 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience working on production application
  • Solid background with modern web fundamentals such as Typescript, HTML, and CSS (implemented with JavaScript)
  • Proficient with web tooling; React and GraphQL
  • Experience with design systems; Material UI
  • Solid database experience; PostgreSQL or other SQL databases
  • Knowledge of development in a public cloud; GCP is preferred, but other major cloud experience is also fine
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment platforms like Kubernetes (on GKE)
  • Core expertise in CI + automated testing
  • Proven track record of building scalable quality features
  • Core competency in back-end services would be ideal
