Job description

A SaaS EdTech technology company that helps educational institutions and administrators to rationally and efficiently analyze the effectiveness of their current educational technology is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The developer will work on creating a world-class Ed-tech platform using the industry’s best practices to build scalable and maintainable web applications. The company’s ground-breaking record system enables educational institutions to select digital learning tools, establish and maintain regulatory compliance, and measure outcomes to provide real, actionable insights. The company has managed to raise more than $5.9 mn in funding so far. This role requires at least 3+ hours overlap with the EST/PST time zones.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentorship to other software engineers, interview and onboard new software engineers
  • Stay updated with new technologies, evaluate and make recommendations as necessary
  • Actively contribute to plannings, refinements, estimations, and other team’s ceremonies
  • Determine root causes for complex software issues, and implement practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions
  • Design and develop scalable applications while working in an agile development environment
  • Design and build maintainable, scalable, low-latency, resilient, and efficient applications 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Prior professional experience in a startup environment
  • Previous experience building SaaS web apps
  • Prolific skills with Ruby on Rails, AWS, and React
  • Some knowledge of PostgreSQL is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
