Job description

One of America's fast-growing pharmacy benefit managers is looking for a Full Stack Engineer. The selected candidate will work on leading large projects from design to conclusion. The engineer will collaborate with the product managers and other developers to flesh out product requirements and establish consistent APIs across services for interactions with the frontend. The company is focused on delivering data-driven insights and actionable strategies that reduce costs while improving outcomes. They have raised a total of $101 mn so far. This is a great chance for the candidate to play a crucial role in the development of an industry-leading company.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead large projects with end to end execution
Help product managers and designers flesh out product requirements before implementation
Collaborate with developers to establish consistent APIs across our services, and good patterns for interactions with our API on the frontend
Provide mentorship to developers in terms of best practices in a serverless, cloud-based application paradigm (Flask/AWS Lambda/ECS), and stateful application framework (React/Redux)
Make meaningful architectural choices based on careful evaluation and prior knowledge of solutions that work
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to continually deliver features to our internal stakeholders and clients

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
6+ years of related job experience with a broad range of technical skills
Proficient with React/Redux/Python
Experience in building applications on AWS, including AWS Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway, SMS, and ECS
Strong knowledge of unit testing across multiple paradigms
Experience working with PBM (Pharmacy Benefits Manager) will be preferred
Working knowledge of integration testing in Javascript/Typescript, such as Cypress, NightmareJS, or Protractor
Good understanding of typing, including native Typescript types, and gradual typing systems such as Flow or Pyre
Prior experience in delivering complex web applications to the cloud
Experience working with microservices/an API-based application paradigm
Experience working in a mono repository will be preferred
Good written communication skills
Solid code management skills with Git
Ability to work independently and deliver results
