Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is determined to build an ambitious travel agency and hotel booking startup is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of enhancing the platform's responsiveness, performance, and load times to provide the best possible user experience. Through its web platform, which is meant to give customers easy access to a variety of travel possibilities, the company hopes to revolutionize the way people plan and book their trip experiences. This position requires a significant overlap with the EST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Take the lead on projects, exercise independence, navigate through uncertainty, and establish procedures and documentation
Use Next.js and React to implement user interfaces that guarantee a smooth and interesting user experience
Using Node.js, create reliable back-end services and APIs while following best practices for maintainability and scalability
Write clear, type-safe code with TypeScript to improve platform stability and performance
Increase the feature set and travel-related capabilities of our platform by integrating third-party APIs and services
Participate in architectural discussions and decision-making to enhance the platform's overall design
Work closely with UI/UX designers to provide consistency in both appearance and functionality
Determine and fix technical issues and problems, putting in a lot of effort to come up with original solutions

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
Extensive experience working with React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript
Proven aptitude for integrating APIs and outside services
Previous expertise in user experience enhancement while working on eCommerce projects
Strong background working with API documentation as well as web apps
Possess self-motivation and the ability to function independently with little guidance
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive outlook
Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to work well in a team
Fluent in English communication, both spoken and written
