Job description

A fast-growing startup that aims to revolutionize the recruitment process for home-service businesses is looking for a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join their team. The selected engineer would be responsible for expounding the company vision by creating highly-responsive front-end features that seamlessly integrate with back-end logic. This company is helping businesses become more efficient at hiring the right people by offering smart cloud-based software that can effectively automate hiring, standardize the interview process, and reduce bad hires. Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand user feedback and company vision to create highly engaging UI and front-end features
  • Brainstorm ideas in collaboration with the product team and effectively build the design roadmap
  • Develop transformative features that can effectively enhance user experience
  • Guide the design and architecture efforts to create responsive back-end services 
  • Automate review and control processes to streamline operations and engineering efforts
  • Establish standard practices and ensure follow-through

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a Full-Stack Engineer
  • Proficient in Node.js, React, Next.js, TypeScript, and other relevant technologies
  • Comprehensive understanding of AWS Serverless and PHP (legacy MVP system)
  • Previous experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases
  • Demonstrable experience with DevOps in AWS or other cloud-based platforms
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and practices
  • Experience working with APIs and building them from scratch
  • Excellent data manipulation skills
  • Thorough knowledge of modern tools, frameworks, and packages
  • Good understanding of networking and Docker
  • Strong security principles and a great understanding of user experience
  • Great problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with peers
  • Proficient in English communication
