Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company that has established a patented silicon-based manufacturing technique for synthetic DNA manufacture is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for working on software design and development. The company has raised over $500 mn in funding so far and developed DNA-based tools that enable remarkable discoveries in a wide range of scientific areas. This position requires 4 hours of overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders and designers to create user-friendly and intuitive online apps for e-commerce and laboratory management systems
Participate in collecting requirements and technical specifications
Work on the design and development of the software
Develop, test, deploy, and track code across the software development lifecycle
Encourage excellent practices in software engineering by participating in code reviews, creating tools, and documenting them

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
Experience with shipping production quality code and proficiency in full-stack web development
Experience working on high-capacity, production-grade web applications
Proficient in full-stack development with Python, Node.js, and React
Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB in a microservices environment
Knowledge of GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with working in a cloud environment, Ruby on Rails, and Typescript is a plus
Proficiency in English
