Job description

A rapidly-growing company that improves public defenders' ability to deliver justice is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for introducing user-facing features that will improve the platform's usability and usefulness to lawyers. The company assists its clients in storing, analyzing, and sharing videos through a single platform. The company has managed to raise over $100 in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement user-facing improvements that will improve the platform's usability and usefulness to attorneys
  • Assist in improving the editor's overall user experience, collaborative possibilities, platform performance, and ML/NLP use
  • Develop functional databases, applications, and servers
  • Code for various platforms to ensure functionality across multiple channels

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 2+ years of experience with React, Node, Typescript, and Express 
  • Experience with React testing library, jest and Node.js testing with Mocha.js, and React frontend infrastructure, compilation, and organization 
  • Familiarity with broader web concepts like CORS, REST requests, and web security
  • Knowledge of design patterns and when best to use them
  • Python and machine learning experience in natural language processing (NLP) is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud services AWS, Azure, and Heroku is nice to have
  • Proficiency in English
