Job description

A rapidly-growing company that automates every stage of the lending lifecycle, from lead generation to loan origination through servicing and collections, is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will be performing component performance profiling to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions to reduce latency. The company is providing data-driven, comprehensive financial services SaaS technology that aids in automating the lending process. This will be a full-time role requiring significant overlap with the US time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build production-ready, consumer-facing web applications and back-end financial systems
  • Take ownership of front-end and back-end development functionality across web applications
  • Work with a team of engineers, including Laravel and Vue developers, and business leaders to make a direct impact on the development of strategies 
  • Help improve the functionality and security of both new and existing frameworks
  • Assist the team in developing the application architecture, and reusable code libraries
  • Build software and API integrations for cloud computing using Laravel and Vue.js 
  • Analyze, design, program, compile, debug, support, and modify software enhancements, add-ons, and integrations for new and existing product offerings 
  • Evaluate technical needs with respect to proposed solutions 
  • Demonstrate sound judgment while thinking strategically, creatively, and fostering innovation 
  • Provide technical leadership to junior developers and constructive criticism to strengthen the team  
  • Follow the company's programming guidelines and enforce them amongst team members 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience designing and developing web services-based applications as a full-stack software engineer
  • Must have at least 5+ years of experience with Laravel 
  • 1+ years of experience with Vue.js 
  • 3+ years of experience in back-end web application development 
  • At least 3+ years of experience building well-tested, high volume, and large-scale distributed systems 
  • Experience creating REST APIs and version control using Git
  • Ability to work independently and in teams to get the job done
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries 
  • Extensive experience understanding Linux systems and strong Linux CLI skills 
  • Solid understanding of programming techniques, tools, and the web development cycle 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code 
  • Passion for exploring new technology, identifying new opportunities for improvement, and staying up-to-date with new technology trends
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Experience with cloud development (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) 
  • Prior experience in the financial industry is preferred 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
