Job description

A fast-emerging platform offering demand-driven, data intuitive supply chain solutions is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will work with experience developing, supporting, and architecting web and mobile applications and APIs. The US-based company has built a cloud-based solution that manages all aspects of logistics and seamlessly connects customers to a network of carriers. Candidates who are comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment are suitable for this position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work extensively to define development standards, deploy quality products, and on future innovations
  • Write testable, high-quality code aligned with the industry best practices
  • Develop a scalable and resilient platform, ensuring that it supports the product roadmap 
  • Provide guidance and research on existing or new technologies
  • Coordinate and balance simultaneous development efforts of the company
  • Create technical requirements and ensure the timely delivery of quality products
  • Propose alternative success methods with unattainable deadlines (for example: suggest bolstering resources and/or scope reduction) 
  • Identify system/product deficiencies as well as remediation plans
  • Enforce quality standards and come up with reliable estimates for projects
  • Actively participate in code reviews and showcase an in-depth understanding of systems and products
  • Collaborate with product/project owners/managers and third-party partners/vendors
  • Ensure proper communication with the company management on roadblocks, the overall status of the team, and ongoing development projects
  • Ensure complete compliance with change control policies/configuration management
  • Be willing and open to adapting to any changes
  • Be proactive in learning the business model to optimize and enhance system functionality and performance

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • In-depth ability to apply initiative in a swift entrepreneurial environment
  • Some degree of re-prioritization and flexibility at short notice
  • Ability to approach challenges with enthusiasm and creativity, along with the courage to undertake positions encouraging change and provide excellent results
  • Experience with Nest, Node.js, and/or similar frameworks
  • Prior experience working with TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience with React Native, React, Angular, or/and similar UI libraries
  • Skilled in SOAP, Rest, and/or GraphQL APIs 
  • Deep understanding of underlying PaaS and IaaS offerings and AWS (or Azure) 
  • Experience with Source Control: TFS/SVN/GIT
  • Must be familiar with design patterns
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and multi-task when needed
  • Prior experience working with high volume, data-driven, mission-critical, 24x7 applications
  • Prolific knowledge of TSQL, NoSQL, stored procedures, and relational databases (for example, MySQL) 
  • Prior experience with load testing and/or scaling an application
  • Experience in Distance Algorithms and Geo-Location Data
  • Skilled in mocking framework(s)
  • Prior experience with Selenium or a similar testing framework
  • Experience in microservices architectures and continuous deployment/integration
  • Vast experience with CSS/SASS/HTML5
  • Must have experience working in the FinTech, Logistics, or Trucking industry
  • Possess excellent experience developing, architecting, and supporting mobile and web applications and APIs
  • Must possess strong team skills and be detail-oriented 
  • English communication skills, both written and spoken, are mandatory
