Job description

A US-based early-stage biotechnology company that is building next-generation therapeutics solutions, is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of building scalable data systems and applications that power the discovery of new medicines. The company is on a mission to successfully turn biological insights from human genetics into new medicines. They have managed to securely raise $28.5mn+ during their Series A round of funding.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers to design, implement, and improve critical applications, services, and infrastructure for the scientific workflow
Scalable algorithms should be used in a distributed system setting
Identifying and resolving issues across the entire technology stack
Take responsibility for the code and subsystems on which you work
Maintain a high level of code quality, system architecture, and testing

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
Experience with relevant software and data science projects
Curiosity about the intersection of software engineering, genetics, and drug discovery
Strong technical skillset encompassing a wide range of technologies, programming languages, and paradigms.
Solid understanding of software design and architecture
Experience with life sciences and statistical analysis is a plus
Experience with AWS, Spark, Scala, or another functional programming language would be advantageous
