Job description

A rapidly-growing company building an elegant platform to help users bag exciting deals and buy in teams to save money, is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be working hand-in-glove with the CTO, product, and designer teams to make crucial product and engineering decisions. The US-based company scaling platform aims to revitalize social commerce by introducing revolutionary technology and solutions to the industry. This will be a full-time position that will be offering new growth avenues to developers.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build out, maintain, and iterate on the 2-sided e-commerce marketplace that connects shoppers to brands
  • Build dynamic mobile-only shopping experience to browse for deals, buy-in teams to save money, and connect with friends 
  • Build an easy to adopt and robust experience and tie them together with data pipelines and personalization
  • Write code and build empathy for the users’ psychology to deliver engaging and valuable experiences
  • Implement data-driven product experimentation
  • Help make engineering decisions and weigh tradeoffs
  • Balance quality and velocity to both deliver quality products and minimize technical debt where appropriate
  • Help define the product (not just its implementation, but its direction), engineering practices, people, and the company culture
  • Build a unique and delightful experience and engage in career-defining work

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience working as a full-stack developer
  • 5+ years of experience with consumer-focused mobile applications, particularly in e-commerce or social
  • Solid understanding of modern web front-end component-based architecture patterns and cloud applications
  • Extensive knowledge of React Native, Node.js, Typescript, Firebase, and GCP
  • Prior production experience with cloud services, CI / CD systems, unit testing, and automated testing
  • Experience in planning, estimating, and working from user stories in an agile sprint-based team workflow
  • Ability to cooperate and contribute as a member of a high-velocity cross-functional team with shifting requirements
  • Ability to make fast decisions without supervision
