Job description

A leading technology company that has pioneered retail digital transformation by introducing headless commerce to the store tech landscape is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will work as a self-directed and self-confident team player, embracing a dynamic environment to shape the future of disruptive retail technology. The company has developed a digital store platform that offers a feature-as-a-service transaction engine, enabling retailers to rapidly scale digital innovation and interactions at every point of contact. The candidate will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that continuously transform retail technology while working in a team committed to the principles and best practices of agile development driven by Scrum Methodology. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement software design specifications
  • Identify code metrics and perform code analysis, requirements analysis, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis
  • Take ownership of performance tuning, code improvement, usability, balancing, and automation
  • Write readable, maintainable, and testable code to meet performance requirements
  • Create, maintain, and run unit tests for both new and existing code to deliver defect-free code
  • Translate mockups and wireframes into functional front-end code
  • Write and maintain documentation for present and emerging features
  • Keep up-to-date on latest development practices and new technologies
  • Assist in design and code reviews and collaborate to ensure your own code passes review
  • Analyze and deliver requirements with product owners and scrum masters
  • Collaborate with other teams to define technical architecture and design
  • Design and develop simple, reliable, high-performance, extensible, reusable, manageable, and scalable applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of development experience in architecting, designing, and building web apps and large-scale distributed service-oriented systems in an agile environment
  • Expertise of at least 2-3 years of commercial web development experience working with JavaScript/Typescript
  • Proficient with client-side JavaScript frameworks such as React/Redux and NoSQL databases like CouchDB
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to write efficient and maintainable code
  • Working experience in Test-driven development
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or similar tool
  • Experience working with RESTful web services, AWS Lambda, and API Gateway methods
  • Experience in building Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products
  • Good understanding of cloud computing platforms such as GCP or Azure
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with both internal and vendor scrum teams
