Full-Stack Developer

A US-based company providing a streamlined, intelligent platform to help users see and manage their professional, personal, and social connections is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will build the customer-facing UI and necessary back-end services for data management, administration, and reporting. The platform operates by integrating, refining, and enriching people’s extended networks with data from a wide range of sources. This role offers a great chance to contribute proactively to process and solution improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Code, test, and manage Vue.js based applications
• Work closely with data models and databases
• Write reusable, testable, clean, and well-documented code
• Create and manage database schemas that are beneficial to the business
• Work with a small and agile engineering team, write robust unit tests, and validate code with available tools
• Implement 3rd party services like Zapier to integrate the application data into the web application
• Design and develop applications and services using Agile development methods
• Actively participate in the working processes and collaboration platforms
• Transform general requirements into specific estimates and deliverables

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
• Expertise in commercial software or services
• Prior Venture Capital, Banking, or Financial Services experience
• Good knowledge of the Travel or Hospitality Services industry
• Marketing or Advertising expertise 
• Sound Social Networking abilities
• Expert skills with JavaScript or CoffeeScript
• Strong knowledge of Vue.js and Laravel frameworks is preferred
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services is a plus
• Experience with SQL and database synchronization and optimization techniques
• Proficiency with application concepts and third-party API service integration
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, Bootstrap/Tailwind, and CSS3
• Knowledge of user accessibility principles and data privacy compliance
• Extensive experience with UX optimization for delivery platforms, such as mobile versus desktop, and optimizing output for the user platform
• Strong attention to detail and take pride in producing an error-free code
• Strong knowledge in Object-Oriented Programming
• Good experience with Linux is a plus
• Capacity to create good user experiences and beautiful, frictionless applications
• Solid management and leadership ability
• Ability to see the “big picture” and find ways to enrich and enhance products through better feature and functional usability
• Global remote working experience and willingness to adjust to working hours when required
• Adept skills in cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS
• Expert experience in one or more coding languages, PHP & Python preferred
• Expert experience with commercial frameworks, Laravel preferred 
• Expert experience with ORMs and API development
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with a small and agile engineering team
• Excellent documentation habits
• Capability to write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript-based on current UI standards and best practices (HTML5, CSS3, and ES6)
• Knowledge of PHP 7.x with Laravel framework experience is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of database design and change management
• Familiarity with Vue.js front-end framework and addons
• Familiar with CSS preprocessor tools and associated languages, syntaxes, and libraries
• Experienced with the Google Cloud Platform services
• Prolific skills with testing platforms implementation and writing comprehensive unit tests
• Proficiency with Github, integrating 3rd party services and APIs
• Conversant with production code branching and release management
• Background in web development or user experience design
• Solid expertise in Alembic, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Flutter is nice to have
