Job description

A US-based tech company that has developed a computer vision-powered, smartphone-enabled application to conduct 10-second health checks for pets is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be joining a distributed team at the early stages and help build the first real-time image-based health platform for dogs. The company is reimagining at-home pet healthcare with on-demand, custom solutions for happier, healthier pets. The company has managed to raise more than $250K so far. This is a great learning opportunity for developers with a growth mindset hungry to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build across a breadth of technologies, wear many hats and work on the organization's most critical business problems
  • Contribute to all parts of the codebase (front and back-end)
  • Collaborate heavily with the engineering, product, and design teams on new products and features
  • Build scalable, readable, and well-documented stacks 
  • Enhance the overall user experience and push new updates to the products 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Demonstrable experience with Typescript, NestJS, and React Native
  • Proficient in Node.js and UI Frameworks, preferably React
  • Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of AWS Lambda/Serverless, Python, and GitHub
  • Strong architecture and system design skills
  • Experience building and managing data pipelines is desirable
  • Nice to have some interest in Tensorflow and Deep Learning
